Compassionate Companion for Self Care: As your Compassionate Companion I will accompany you through self compassion practices that create a safe, nurturing space for you to explore ways to include compassionate care practices within your life.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, low energy, difficulty focusing mentally, depressed, disconnected, isolated? If you are feeling any of these, Compassionate Companion sessions can help you to create compassionate care practices that you can use daily. More and more studies are showing that compassionate care is hugely beneficial to our well being and can help to prevent illness and alleviate chronic health conditions. Compassionate Companion's can help you live with more self compassion, connection, emotional and mental balance. These are only a few ways a Compassionate Companion can help you. What are you needing support with? Write to us, reach out, let us know how we can help.

What may happen in a session? At the beginning of a session we take a few moments to check in and chat about what's happening in your life. If it feels comfortable for you we can also check in through the practice of Sensory Awareness with attention to breath and body sensations. What you experience in each moment guides the session.

Free Consultation: One free 30 minute online consultation is available to ensure that you are comfortable with me as someone supporting you throughout your sessions. Sessions are 60 minutes and are online on Zoom or in person when possible.

Sensory Awareness

"Shegüy, With you I learned what it is to love without possessing, to accompany without invading and to live without depending." Y. Matu

Sensory Awareness monthly sessions held on the first Tuesday each month.

These are guided sessions that help us to be more aware of our experiences. Inviting us to become more awake to what is happening in us and around us. Exploring how we respond to sensations we feel, for example, our breathing, balance, the space around us. We will have time to share together throughout the session.

Many people are feeling isolated, anxiety, chronic pain and more. This practice can help us to be with what is here in each moment, whether that is joy or suffering, to feel more connected to ourselves and the world around us.

Upcoming Sessions

Refugee Mental Health Support

Refugee women and childrren face a myriad of obstacles before even arriving in the UK. As well as experiencing loss of family and friends, they are also facing the upheaval that comes with leaving their homes behind. They are met with numerous health risks as well as extreme physical and emotional distress in their pursuit for safety.

All of these women and children have experienced loss in countless ways. Our Kurdish women's community project is helping them to learn self care practices to help them live with grief and release trauma. We assist them with feeling more connected to themselves, their families, and communities. Our sessions provide a safe, nurturing space where they can share about their experiences and hopefully find comfort and feel less isolated. Our 2024 project will expand on what we have been offering to include creative movement/voice encouraging them to find new ways of using their voice to build confidence through gesture, language and expression.

We are aiming to start our youth project for the Kurdish Community this year. Watch this space to find out more.

Would you like to partner with us on a refugee project? We would love to hear from you. Please email us and we can arrange a chat.
