When you engage with Compassionate Accompaniment CIC, for example, if you donate money, make a payment, access our information, request services, or become a member or volunteer, we may collect and process personal information about you. Depending on your activity, this personal information may include your financial details, name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number or date of birth. By submitting this personal information, you enable us to provide you with the information, services or products you choose.

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you. We only collect the data we need to communicate with you regarding CA sessions, workshops, community projects, volunteer or member updates, and our quarterly newsletter. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter any time which will also remove you from our mailing list.

How we may use your personal information

We use the information that you have given us in order to provide you with information (including fundraising, volunteer activities, classes, sessions, workshops, board meetings), or services you have requested or which we feel may interest you where you have consented to being contacted.
CA will not rent or sell your personal information to other organisations for use by them in their own direct marketing activities.

You have a right to know whether or not CA holds any information about you (personal data). You can request your personal information and we will respond within one month of receipt of the request.

To help us find your information please tell us something about the nature of your contact with us. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Right to erasure (also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’)

Under UK GDPR law, we recognise the right for individuals to have personal data erased. This right is not absolute and only applies in certain circumstances. You can request erasure verbally or in writing using above email or postal address. CA will respond within one month of receipt of the request.

How we store your personal information

Your information (name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number or date of birth) is securely stored in password secured electronic files for 6 months. We will then dispose your information by shredding.
We will ensure that all sensitive personal information that is collated for the purposes of obtaining a record will be managed confidentially at all times.
